The Power of Gold Armor

First introduced in Modern Warfare 3 Zombies, Gold Armor automatically repairs itself over time, eliminating the constant need for armor plates. This is especially beneficial against powerful enemies like Amalgams, ensuring you always have sufficient protection. While manual plating remains an option, the self-repair function is a significant resource management advantage.

Obtaining the Gold Armor Vest: A Step-by-Step Guide

1. Locate Statue Heads: Find two statue heads within the Dark Aether Nexus. These are hidden inside destructible wooden crates. One crate is near a palm tree in a corner of the Nexus (closest to the green Gateway portal), and the other is easily visible near the Juggernog Perk Machine. Use melee attacks to break the crates and collect the heads.

   

2. Repair the Statues: Head to the Dig Site area. Place the statue heads on the two ruined Roman statues. One is near the Ammo Cache, and the other is closer to the Roman Mausoleum (Pack-a-Punch area). Interact with each statue to place a head.

3. Survive the Blood Sacrifice: Interacting with the repaired statues initiates a Blood Sacrifice. This involves eliminating multiple high-value target (HVT) versions of Shock Mimics and Doppelghasts. The challenge significantly reduces your health to 1 HP, making it crucial to have a Tier 3 vest and ample armor plates beforehand. The best strategies involve using Mutant Injection (solo) or a Chopper Gunner (co-op) to overcome this difficult challenge.

   

4. Purchase the Vest: After completing both Blood Sacrifices, the Gold Armor Vest becomes available for purchase as a free Wall Buy in the Roman Mausoleum.
