To celebrate the launch of the "Nyras Prologue" demo for the Gothic 1 Remake, THQ Nordic and Alkimia Interactive have unveiled an exciting new trailer. In a departure from the original Gothic, where you played as the Nameless Hero, the remake allows you to step into the shoes of a prisoner named Nyras. Despite this change, the core objective remains the same: to survive the brutal world of the game.
The Gothic Remake demo was released during the Steam Next Fest event and has already shattered records for concurrent players within the series:

The demo offers a glimpse into the updated graphics, animations, and combat system, all powered by Unreal Engine 5. While the prologue provides a taste of what's to come, it cannot fully showcase the expansive freedom of action and deep RPG mechanics that will be available in the complete game.
The Gothic Remake is set to launch on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, and PC (available on Steam and GOG). Although the release date has not been disclosed yet, anticipation continues to build among fans eager to explore this revamped classic.
