Hearthstone's Year of the Raptor: A 2025 Roadmap of Exciting Changes

Get ready for a thrilling year in Hearthstone! 2025 promises a whirlwind of surprises, fresh gameplay mechanics, and exciting new features. The usual lineup of expansions, Mini-Sets, and Battlegrounds seasons are all on the way. Following the positive reception of the Heroes of StarCraft Mini-Set, Blizzard is committed to keeping the excitement going throughout the year, even releasing a roadmap to give players a sneak peek.

What's New in the Year of the Raptor?

A major highlight is the long-awaited Arena revamp. In development since last year, this update promises a revitalized Arena experience for both veteran and new players.

Cosmetics are also receiving a significant upgrade. Expect new Mythic skins and Signature cards, along with a brand-new addition: Pets! These adorable companions will be integrated into a new cosmetic acquisition system, though the specifics remain under wraps for now.

The Year of the Raptor officially begins with the first expansion, Into the Emerald Dream. Card reveals begin next week, but in-game celebrations are already underway. Complete the Event Track to earn rewards, including The Great Dark Beyond Epic cards, packs from the new expansion, and a Raptor Herald card.

A dynamic new game board is launching alongside the expansion, and will evolve throughout the year with visual and audio updates accompanying each new expansion.

The Core Set is also getting a refresh, featuring the return of some classic cards (with adjustments) and the addition of brand-new cards.
