Honkai: Star Rail 3.4 Update Arrives Soon

HoYoverse has officially announced Honkai: Star Rail Version 3.4, titled "For the Sun is Set to Die," launching July 2nd. The update brings back fan-favorite characters alongside substantial gameplay enhancements, including quality-of-life improvements detailed in recent patch notes.

Exciting New Story Developments

Version 3.4 sees Phainon's dramatic transition from NPC to playable character during his pivotal Flame-Chase arc. Players will witness his Origination-themed transformation, unlocking new combat capabilities tied to the Foundation Titans lore.

The Penacony storyline takes an intriguing turn with the "Sweet Dreams and Holy Grail War" event starting July 11th. This crossover tournament features legendary Servants from Fate/stay night, with seven participants including Aventurine and Mr. Boothill battling with summoned historical figures.

Major Character Additions

Three Fate-inspired Heroic Spirits join the roster: Saber (Wind-type Destruction) debuts as a 5-star unit, while Archer (Quantum Hunt) becomes permanently available as a free character until Version 3.6 concludes. Both will remain accessible post-event through dedicated banners featuring their signature Light Cones.

The update's character rotations include:

• First Phase: Tribbie, Sunday, and Sparkle reruns
• Second Phase: Firefly, Jingliu, and Blade returns

Significant ability upgrades are coming for Silver Wolf, Kafka, Jingliu, and Blade players.

Quality-of-Life Improvements

Developer Radio revealed several player-requested features including story summary functionality and dialogue skip options. These additions complement the update's content-rich events and character updates.
