The HP Omen 17 gaming laptop comes loaded with a 17.3" 2560x1440 240Hz IPS display, an AMD Ryzen 7 8845HS processor, an Nvidia GeForce RTX 4070 GPU, 16GB of DDR5-5600MHz RAM, and a spacious 1TB SSD. Weighing approximately 6.5 pounds, it's a robust yet portable gaming machine. The AMD Ryzen 7 8845HS features a max boost clock of 5.1GHz with 8 cores and 16 threads. This processor is more energy-efficient than the performance-focused HX-series CPUs, yet delivers comparable gaming performance, especially at 1440p, ensuring a longer battery life.

The mobile RTX 4070 GPU performs remarkably close to the RTX 5070 GPU, with a performance difference of about 5%-10% in favor of the RTX 5070 across most games. This is impressive, considering an RTX 5070-equipped laptop costs at least $1,500. For significantly better performance, you'd need to opt for an RTX 5070 Ti laptop, which would set you back around $2,000.
