This CPU / GPU Combo Should Perform Well in Any Game

The HP Omen Max 16 is powered by an Intel Core Ultra 9 275HX processor, which reaches a max turbo frequency of 5.4GHz with 24 cores and a substantial 40MB L2 cache. According to Passmark, this processor leads the market, outperforming the AMD Ryzen 9 7945HX3D by 7%.

Tom's Hardware reports that the RTX 5080 mobile GPU is 15%-20% more powerful than its predecessor, the RTX 4080. It also surpasses the RTX 4090 by about 5%, making it a more cost-effective choice compared to the pricier RTX 5090. Despite a 15% performance gap, the RTX 5080 is nearly $1,000 cheaper. With the Alienware Area-51's QHD+ (2560x1600) display, this GPU should handle new and upcoming games at high framerates, especially with the support of DLSS 4.
