HP Omen RTX 4080 Super Gaming PC: RTX Performance without the Price Tag

Our RTX 5080 GPU review reveals performance nearly identical to the RTX 4080 Super, yet stock is scarce, and pre-built systems exceed $2500. For a cost-effective upgrade, consider the RTX 40-series. For instance, HP offers an Omen 35L RTX 4080 Super gaming PC for just $1839.99 with the code "DUO20". This liquid-cooled powerhouse excels at any game and resolution.

HP Omen 35L RTX 4080 Super Gaming PC: $1840

HP Omen 35L: Intel Core Ultra 5 245K, RTX 4080 Super, 16GB RAM, 512GB SSD

Initially priced at $2,619.99, this system (Intel Core Ultra 5 245K CPU, RTX 4080 Super GPU, 16GB DDR5-6000MHz RAM, 512GB SSD) is available for $1,839.99 after a 30% discount and applying the "DUO20" coupon. The RTX 4080 Super upgrade adds $600 to the base $1699.99 configuration (with an RTX 4070 Super).

The Intel Core Ultra 5, a 14-core Meteor Lake CPU with a 5.2GHz turbo, is ideal for gaming and workstation tasks. Its AI-optimized NPU and lower power consumption are key advantages. While Core Ultra 7 or 9 upgrades are available, high-resolution gaming gains are minimal due to GPU limitations.

The RTX 4080 Super, Nvidia's second-most powerful RTX 40-series card, delivers exceptional 4K performance at high frame rates, even with ray tracing. Its higher clock speed, CUDA core count, and memory bandwidth provide a 5-10% advantage over the RTX 4080, rivaling the Radeon RX 7900 XTX, while excelling in ray tracing and DLSS 3.0 support. Its performance is virtually identical to the RTX 5080, sharing the same VRAM.

Nvidia GeForce RTX 4080 Super Review by Jacqueline Thomas

"The RTX 4080 Super, like the original RTX 4080, is a true 4K powerhouse. It consistently delivers exceptional performance at this resolution, especially with DLSS. Even without DLSS or ray tracing (e.g., Total War: Warhammer 3), it achieves 79fps at 4K, surpassing the RTX 4080's 76fps and nearing the AMD Radeon RX 7900 XTX's 86fps."

Upgraded RTX 4080 Super Configuration: $2264

HP Omen 35L: Intel Core Ultra 7 285K, RTX 4080 Super, 32GB RAM, 2TB SSD
