How to Romance a Character in Fields of Mistria

While *Fields of Mistria* allows you to form friendships with virtually everyone, romance is exclusive to a select group of NPCs. As of the v0.13.0 update, you can pursue romance with any of the 11 different NPCs, including Caldarus himself.
Each romanceable NPC has a heart meter that fills based on your interactions with them. To foster a romantic relationship, engage with them regularly and pay close attention to their preferences. Start by **talking to them daily** as you go about your tasks in town. Regular conversation can significantly boost their affection. Additionally, make sure to fulfill any requests they post on the town board, as these provide valuable opportunities to increase their heart gauge.
You can also **give them gifts once a day**, ideally items they particularly enjoy or love. These items vary from character to character and can be obtained through gathering or crafting. On their birthday, give them a gift they love for an extra boost to their heart gauge. Consistently following these steps will help you build a strong bond quickly.
Keep in mind that currently, NPC heart gauges can only reach **six hearts**. After achieving six hearts, a cutscene with your chosen NPC will hint at budding feelings, but it's not a full-blown romance yet. According to the game’s roadmap, future updates will include 8 and 10-heart events for romanceable NPCs, along with options for marriage and children, ensuring your Mistria romance has room to grow.
All Gifts For Juniper in Fields of Mistria
Juniper, one of the romanceable characters in *Fields of Mistria*, is often found seeking unusual witchcraft ingredients or running her bathhouse in the northeastern part of town. To romance Juniper, focus on visiting her regularly, completing her town board requests, and giving her thoughtful daily gifts.
Juniper has a range of items she "likes" and "loves," and you can gift her any combination of these. Remember, her birthday is on the **26th day of Fall**, so make sure to give her an item she "loves" on that day for a significant boost to her heart gauge.
Avoid giving Juniper items she dislikes, which include all universal dislikes for NPCs and **Sod**. You can monitor her heart gauge status at any time in your journal under the heart icon tab.
