NBC Universal has unveiled the final trailer for *Jurassic World Rebirth*, offering fans a thrilling glimpse into the film's key elements and introducing both classic and innovative dinosaur species. This eagerly anticipated movie stars Scarlett Johansson, Jonathan Bailey, and Mahershala Ali, and follows an extraction team's perilous mission to the most dangerous location on Earth: an island research facility once part of the original Jurassic Park, now overrun with the most fearsome dinosaurs left behind. The film is directed by Gareth Edwards, known for *Rogue One: A Star Wars Story*, and penned by David Koepp, the screenwriter of the original *Jurassic Park*.

The official synopsis reveals that five years following the events of *Jurassic World Dominion*, the global ecology has largely rejected dinosaurs, confining them to isolated equatorial zones that mimic their ancient habitats. Within this tropical biosphere, the largest creatures across land, sea, and air possess DNA crucial for developing a groundbreaking, life-saving drug for humanity.

Academy Award nominee Scarlett Johansson portrays Zora Bennett, a skilled covert operations expert tasked with leading a secretive mission to retrieve this vital genetic material. Their operation takes a dramatic turn when they encounter a civilian family whose boat was overturned by aggressive aquatic dinosaurs. Stranded on a forbidden island that once housed a secretive Jurassic Park research facility, they navigate a terrain teeming with diverse dinosaur species. Here, they uncover a shocking and sinister secret that has been concealed from the world for decades.

The final trailer showcases several highlights, including a river raft scene inspired by Michael Crichton's *Jurassic Park* novel. Screenwriter David Koepp, who revisited Crichton's works to fuel his creativity for this sequel, incorporated a previously unused sequence from the original novel. "There was a sequence from the first novel that we’d always wanted in the original movie, but didn’t have room for," Koepp shared. "We were like, ‘Hey, we get to use that now.’"

Can a T-Rex swim? Yes, it turns out.

The trailer also introduces a variety of new dinosaurs, including the 'D-Rex,' officially named Distortus Rex. This unique mutant, created specifically for *Jurassic World Rebirth*, is described as a blend of a T-Rex and a Rancor from *Star Wars*. Director Gareth Edwards likened it to "if the T-Rex was designed by H.R. Giger, and then that whole thing had sex with a Rancor."

This is the Distortus Rex, aka the D-Rex. Rancor vibes?

Additionally, the trailer features winged Mutadons, a hybrid of a pterosaur and a Raptor, adding to the film's array of terrifying creatures.

Jurassic Park always has a terrifying raptor scene. This time, there are Mutadons.
