As noted in yesterday's coverage of Sky: Children of the Light's Lunar New Year event, the typically quiet month of January is getting an exciting boost from these seasonal celebrations. This festive spirit even extends to the intense world of naval warfare, with World of Warships Legends launching its own event centered on Sun Wukong!
Sun Wukong, the legendary Monkey King, is famous as the central figure of the classic novel Journey to the West—a story that has deeply influenced Asian literature and culture. It's a fitting focus for World of Warships Legends' Lunar New Year festivities.
Beyond other content in this new update—including a campaign for the French Tier VII Premium battleship Picardie—the Lunar New Year event will introduce Wukong as a commander disguise available for all nations. He arrives alongside the Pan-Asian Tier VII Premium cruiser Wukong, plus numerous ship skins inspired by other characters from the novel.
Prosperity on the HorizonBut there's more! World of Warships Legends is also reviving past Lunar New Year content. Look for the return of the Celestial Guardian commander disguise, daily bonuses, and several Pan-Asian and Japanese ships sporting ornate special skins. Watch for Lunar Year '25 crates in the store and earned in-game to secure these rewards, including the exclusive Japanese Tier VI Premium cruiser Tokachi.
