Ay caramba! LEGO has thrilled fans with the announcement of a new Simpsons-themed set: the Krusty Burger. This minifigure-scale set is packed with Easter eggs and references to the classic era of the beloved show. LEGO The Simpsons: Krusty Burger will retail for $209.99 and is aimed at enthusiasts aged 18 and above. Although not yet available for preorder, it will launch to the general public on June 4. However, LEGO Insiders can enjoy Early Access starting June 1. Sign up for free here to take advantage of this early opportunity.
This marks the first Simpsons-themed build since 2018, when LEGO released two small Brickheadz models featuring Homer Simpson and Krusty the Clown. Before that, the LEGO Simpsons lineup included only two sets: a 2,523-piece model of the Simpsons house in 2014 and a 2,179-piece Kwik-E-Mart model in 2015. Both of these sets have been retired, making the Krusty Burger announcement an exciting revival of a LEGO franchise thought to be discontinued.
Comprising 1,635 pieces, the Krusty Burger set measures 9 inches tall, 9.5 inches wide, and 7.5 inches deep. Its design echoes the iconic look of McDonald's, complete with a drive-thru menu and window. The entire structure opens and closes on a hinge, unveiling detailed interiors including a kitchen, a bathroom, and a dining area. In addition to the restaurant itself, the set includes two separate buildable elements: the iconic Krusty Burger sign on a tall pole and Homer's Krusty-fied car from the Season Six episode "Homie the Clown."
The set comes with seven minifigures: Homer Simpson, Bart Simpson, Lisa Simpson, Farmer Krusty the Clown, Sideshow Bob, the Squeaky Voiced Teen, and Officer Lou. LEGO Insiders who purchase the set from either the online or brick-and-mortar LEGO Store between June 1 and June 7 will receive a special gift with purchase: a 123-piece set of The Simpsons Living Room, available while supplies last.
