When it comes to logic puzzles the variety is often a little bit middling, and it's usually the spin on the original concept that tends to make or break a . Not so with LOK Digital, which adapts an ingenious puzzle book into the handheld format. What's it all about? Let's find out!
So, what is LOK? Well, it's a puzzle book by designer Blaž Urban Gracar, a real whiz kid of an artist who practices everything from making comic books to music and yes, puzzle books. It tasks you with solving logic puzzles based on the fictitious language of the titular LOKs, small and unassuming creatures.
As you might expect, LOK Digital takes the puzzle book and puts it in the palm of your hand with crisp animations and art inspired by the original. You'll need to figure out the rules of each logic puzzle and slowly grow your knowledge of the LOK language as you make your way through 15 distinct worlds with their own different core mechanics.
Boasting over 150 puzzles to solve, crisp animations and a neat little black-and-white art style, it's no wonder that LOK Digital has caught our eye. And while I'm always sceptical about digital adaptations of award-winning media, it appears that developer Draknek & Friends have done quite a good job of putting this distinctive puzzle book into the palm of your hand.
If LOK Digital has caught your eye, you may need to wait a bit but it won't be as long as might fear. It's set to arrive on January 25th according to the iOS store, and pre-registration is also available over on Google Play!
