Electronic Arts has officially announced the release date for the latest installment in its iconic football franchise, and Madden NFL 26 is set to make a full transition to the current generation of consoles.
The game will officially launch on August 14, 2025, with a three-day early access period available to Deluxe Edition pre-orders beginning on August 11. Madden NFL 26 will be playable on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, PC via EA App for Windows, Steam, and Epic Games Store, as well as on the upcoming Nintendo Switch 2.
This marks the series’ debut on Nintendo’s hybrid handheld console—an exciting step forward—but also signals the end of support for older platforms. Neither the PlayStation 4 nor the Xbox One have been confirmed for inclusion in Madden NFL 26, meaning the franchise is now fully embracing the power of the PS5 and Xbox Series era.
A variety of pre-order options are available, including a special loyalty offer for players who enjoyed *Madden NFL 25*, *24*, or *23*. This deal grants a **10% discount** on purchases and includes a **99 OVR Player Pack** for *Madden NFL 25 Ultimate Team*. There's also the **MVP Bundle**, which combines the Deluxe Editions of both *Madden NFL 26* and *College Football 26* into one comprehensive package. In addition to the Madden NFL 26 reveal, EA confirmed that EA College Football 26 will launch on July 10, 2025, and will be available exclusively on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S.
