Marvel's Wolverine Not Included in Recent Roadmap from Insomniac Games

Insomniac Games Remains Silent on Marvel's Wolverine Release Date

Insomniac Games recently shared its future plans, but remained tight-lipped regarding the highly anticipated Marvel's Wolverine. While co-head Chad Dezern confirmed the studio is working on "great projects with a really ambitious roadmap," details about Wolverine's release remain undisclosed. A 2025 release window was neither confirmed nor denied.

Wolverine's Development: A Look Back

Initially unveiled at the 2021 PlayStation Showcase with a cinematic trailer, Marvel's Wolverine is slated for PlayStation 5. Creative Director Bryan Intihar later confirmed its shared universe with Marvel's Spider-Man, referencing the "1048" universe designation. While fans anticipated crossovers, only a Wolverine-themed suit in Spider-Man 2 has materialized so far. A significant security incident in December 2023 saw some Wolverine development assets briefly leaked online.

Insomniac's Current Projects and Future Plans

Insomniac announced the PC release of Marvel's Spider-Man 2 for January 30, 2025, at New York Comic-Con 2025. The studio clarified that no further DLC is planned for the game, though the PC version will include all post-launch updates. Both Standard and Digital Deluxe editions will be available, offering exclusive suits.
