If you've been keeping an eye on some of the top releases around the globe, we've got another one that might catch your interest, though it's currently out of reach for many. Medabot Survivors is set to launch on February 10th, bringing the beloved robot role-playing franchise back to mobile devices. Unfortunately, as of now, it's exclusively available in Japan.
As reported by Gematsu, Medabots might ring a bell for those who grew up in the wake of Pokémon's massive success. During that era, there was a surge in bringing various Japanese franchises with merchandising potential to the West. While Digimon gained significant popularity and some argue it even outshines Pokémon, Medabots never quite managed to capture the same level of attention in the West. However, in its home country of Japan, Medabots has been a formidable franchise, far more popular than it ever was here. It's no surprise then that the Survivors-like genre is its next venture, although, for now, only Japanese fans will have the chance to dive in.

**Surviving the Survivors**
While the term "Survivors-like" has become popular thanks to the flagship game Vampire Survivors, this genre has been around for much longer. The release of Medabot Survivors is not only exciting for fans but also a fascinating development as we watch this genre expand globally. Having gained some insight into the Japanese gaming scene, I can confirm there are many excellent releases that might never make it to our shores. If Medabot Survivors proves to be a hit, however, there's hope that we might eventually get our hands on it.
