Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater's August 28th, 2025 Release Date Confirmed!

The highly anticipated remake, Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater, finally has a release date: August 28th, 2025! This confirmation comes via a release date trailer spotted on GameSpot's YouTube channel and the PlayStation Store. While Konami hasn't yet officially announced it on their social media, the news brings much-needed closure after nearly two years of anticipation. The game will launch on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC.

The trailer showcases the game's updated visuals, promising a faithful yet enhanced experience.

Initially slated for a 2024 release following its announcement at the PlayStation Showcase in May 2023, subsequent trailers at the Xbox Games Showcase and Tokyo Game Show focused on gameplay. Metal Gear X (on Twitter/X) confirmed the remake's commitment to the original Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater, retaining gameplay and original voice acting. The "Delta" designation, according to the developers, signifies "change or difference without changing structure."

The trailer holds a significant surprise: a playful cameo from the Ape Escape franchise. An iconic ape makes a cheeky appearance, hinting at a potential collaboration, though details remain scarce. The trailer concludes with a cryptic "And more...", suggesting further unannounced collaborations are in store.
