The Spring Hunt 2025 event in Monster Hunter Now is an exciting online paid event set to launch as part of the second update in Season 5: The Blossoming Blade. Scheduled to run from May 24th to May 25th, 2025, this event introduces unique gameplay and rewards centered around the elder dragon Chameleos. To participate, players must purchase an event ticket from the Monster Hunter Now shop. This ticket grants access to uninterrupted Elder Dragon Interceptions featuring Chameleos, eliminating wait times between Interceptions and Hunt-a-thons. Participants can also unlock exclusive Chameleos-themed layered gear, enhancing their in-game appearance.
The event also includes Event Exchange Hubs, with the Spring Hunt Eve Exchange Hub opening from May 19th at 9:00 a.m. until June 2nd at 11:59 p.m. During the event, from May 19th to May 25th, players can earn tokens by defeating large monsters or elder dragons. These tokens can then be traded at the Event Exchange Hubs for various rewards, including a Silver Rathalos Plate, Glavenus Plate, Wyvern Gem Shard, and more, offering players valuable resources to enhance their gear and arsenal.
Chameleos, known for its stealthy maneuvers and the ability to emit a strange fog that impairs visibility, will be the star of the show starting May 24th, 2025. Players can engage in Elder Dragon Interceptions to confront this elusive elder dragon. Those ranked 100 or above can encounter Chameleos in 8-star Elder Dragon Interceptions once they enter a preliminary state, beginning at 9:00 a.m. on the 24th. To effectively combat Chameleos, players should equip weapons and armor that exploit its vulnerabilities to Fire, Dragon, and Blast elements.
Defeating Chameleos allows players to craft the new Mizuha Set armor, which includes the Chameleos Venomist skill. This skill reduces the duration of poison and venom effects by half and increases the likelihood of poisoning targets. The materials from Chameleos can also be used to forge a variety of weapons, including Dual Blades, Great Sword, Long Sword, Hammer, Gunlance, Switch Axe, Charge Blade, and Bow, catering to different playstyles and preferences.
