Ever wondered exactly how many hours you spent on Donkey Kong Bananza on a specific day this summer? The new Nintendo Store app makes it easy to find out.

Now available worldwide, the Nintendo Store app is your go-to destination for browsing and purchasing Switch games and official Nintendo merchandise. Download game demos, collect amiibo, and even buy new consoles or retro controllers.

But one of the app’s most intriguing features is tucked away. Go to your profile and scroll down to discover your Play Activity, a detailed list of all Switch 1, Switch 2, 3DS, and Wii U games you’ve played over the past few years. Tap any title to explore previously hidden insights — including daily playtime breakdowns.

Take my Animal Crossing: New Horizons save file, for example. I played it heavily in early 2020. While the total playtime shows as "200 hours or more," the app also reveals my first play date — March 3, 2020 — and my last session, July 8 of the same year, when I decided to walk away for good, often going cold turkey on the series.

Over that span, I played across more than 106 separate days. Scrolling through, I can see exactly how much time I spent on each. Amid a series of sessions where I played more than five hours a day, one standout entry shows a 6-hour 15-minute session logged in early April — fair warning, not much else was going on at the time.

Your play history can be sorted by longest playtime (Animal Crossing leads, closely followed by Zelda: Breath of the Wild), first play date, or by system — giving you a fresh way to revisit what you were playing across multiple generations. (My top Wii U title? Zelda: Twilight Princess HD.)

Of course, you can also use the app just to shop. If you’re curious to try it out, the Nintendo Store is now live on the App Store and Google Play.
