Oscar Isaac Exits Star Wars Event, MCU Fans Speculate Moon Knight in Avengers: Doomsday

Hold onto your hats, Marvel fans, because whispers are swirling that Oscar Isaac might be reprising his role as Moon Knight in the upcoming blockbuster, Avengers: Doomsday. The buzz started after Star Wars Celebration announced that Isaac would no longer be attending their event in Japan due to a shift in his production schedule. This news came as a surprise, especially since Isaac's appearance was highly anticipated, fueling speculation about his return to the Star Wars universe as Poe Dameron.

The plot thickened when fans connected the dots between Isaac's scheduling conflict and the ongoing production of Avengers: Doomsday in London. Social media erupted with speculation, with fans like James Young, G the Gamer, and Taco John all hinting at the possibility of Isaac joining the Doomsday cast.

While this theory is tantalizing, it's important to remember it's still just a theory. Marvel Studios is known for keeping their cards close to the chest, and although Isaac wasn't part of the initial Doomsday cast reveal, producer Kevin Feige hinted that not all cast members were disclosed during the livestream. "We revealed many, not all," Feige noted during a CinemaCon video call, leaving the door open for surprises.

Isaac's portrayal of Moon Knight in the 2022 six-episode series was a hit, but Marvel has yet to confirm a second season. Meanwhile, Avengers: Doomsday is slated for a May 1, 2026 release, promising a lineup of returning heroes and new faces.

In other MCU news, fans are also buzzing about Robert Downey Jr.'s recent Doctor Doom-themed birthday invitation, adding another layer of intrigue to the Marvel universe.

The Doomsday cast reveal last month was a big deal, especially for X-Men fans. Veterans like Kelsey Grammer (Beast), Patrick Stewart (Professor X), Ian McKellen (Magneto), Alan Cumming (Nightcrawler), Rebecca Romijn (Mystique), and James Marsden (Cyclops) are all set to appear, signaling a significant X-Men presence in the film. This has led to speculation about whether Avengers: Doomsday might secretly be an Avengers vs. X-Men movie.

So, while we wait for official word on Isaac's involvement, the excitement and theories continue to build. Could Moon Knight be joining the fight in Avengers: Doomsday? Only time will tell.
