How To Get Photograph Emote (Patch 7.18) in Final Fantasy XIV

Unlock the New "Photograph" Emote in Final Fantasy XIV!

One of Final Fantasy XIV's most engaging social features is the diverse range of character emotes. This guide details how to obtain the charming new "Photograph" emote, added in patch 7.18 as part of a collaboration with Fujifilm Instax.

Unlike many emotes requiring quests or purchase, the "Photograph" emote is unlocked instantly upon logging in after downloading patch 7.18. No level or expansion pack is needed!

Accessing and Using the Emote

To use it, open your Emote menu ("Social" tab), find "Photograph" under the "General" tab, and select it. Your character will strike a pose and snap a Polaroid-style picture. Add it to your favorites for easy access!

The emote is versatile, working underwater (like the Ruby Sea) and while mounted (both grounded and flying), offering creative photo opportunities. It's a fun, non-continuous emote perfect for capturing memorable moments in Eorzea.

Patch 7.18 precedes the major 7.2 update in late March, bringing new dungeons, the Arcadion's return, Cosmic Exploration, and more. Until then, enjoy this free and fun addition to your emote collection!
