Pokémon Go is celebrating the 2025 Pokémon World Championships in Anaheim, California, from August 15 to 17. Top trainers from around the globe will compete for the World Champion title. For those watching remotely, there’s still plenty to enjoy, starting with a commemorative 2025 Worlds Tee (White) code that will be shared during the day one stream.

To mark the event, a Pikachu sporting a varsity jacket will make its debut—and it may even appear in its Shiny form. This special Pikachu will be available in one-star raids, Field Research tasks, and out in the wild. Raids will also include Lapras, Honedge, Dusclops, and Diggersby. During the event, keep an eye out for Lapras and Pikachu, both of which will have improved Shiny odds.

A $5 Timed Research ticket will offer encounters with Lickitung, Sableye, Guzzlord, and others, plus 25,000 Stardust and a Premium Battle Pass. Some special evolutions will come with exclusive Charged Attacks: Primeape and Annihilape will learn Rage Fist, and Clodsire will gain Megahorn. Themed stickers will be available at PokéStops, in Gifts, and in the shop, along with exclusive avatar gear.

From August 11 to 17, the Go Battle League will also get a refresh with a new arena and background music. During Go Battle Weekend, you can complete up to 100 battles daily, earn 4x Stardust from wins, and claim free Timed Research with battle-themed avatar rewards. Pokémon in the Go Battle League will also display expanded stat spreads for Attack, Defense, and HP.

To help you prepare, the Pokémon Go Web Store is offering bundles like the Ultra Ticket Box, which includes a bonus Premium Battle Pass, and the TM Elite Master Box, stocked with Elite and regular TMs. You can also pick up free items by redeeming these Pokémon Go codes.
