Pokémon Go has introduced a new $100 Premier Access ticket upgrade for its upcoming Go Fest: Jersey City event, enhancing the experience with exclusive in-game items and improved real-world facilities. This year's Go Fest will be held at Liberty State Park in Jersey City, as well as in Paris, France, and Osaka, Japan.
Players attending the Jersey City event can now enhance their existing ticket with the Premier Access add-on, which developer Niantic describes as a Business Class-like upgrade. The Premier Access lounge offers "upgraded restrooms, portable charger kiosks with lockers, and seating to recharge yourself for your next adventure." Although the specifics of the restroom upgrades remain undisclosed, these amenities are exclusive to Premier Access ticket holders.
Additionally, Premier Access provides fast-track entry to the event's Pokémon Center Pop-Up Store, allowing players to skip the often lengthy queues and maximize their time catching Pokémon rather than waiting in line.
The highlight of the Premier Access upgrade is the extensive list of in-game items it includes:
This package could be worth up to $300 if purchased individually within the game. Premier Access ticket holders will also receive an exclusive enamel pin badge.
Reactions to this new ticket option have been varied. Some players see it as an unprecedented expense for Pokémon Go, especially given the increasing number of monetization options in the game. Others appreciate the value of the in-game items and believe that those with the budget will find the upgrade appealing, especially after already investing in travel and entry to Go Fest.
IGN has reached out to Niantic to inquire if similar offers will be available at other Go Fest locations.
Pokémon Go Fest 2025 is scheduled for the weekend of May 29 in Osaka, the weekend of June 6 in Jersey City, and the weekend of June 13 in Paris. The event will feature the release of the Legendary creature Volcanion and the wider release of the Mexican regional exclusive, Hawlucha.
