The HP Omen Max 16 launch edition features an Intel-based system with a base configuration powered by the Intel Core Ultra 9 275HX CPU. This chip is designed for peak performance, unlike the efficiency-focused Core Ultra 9 185H. Alongside this, you get a stunning 16" QHD+ 240Hz display, 32GB of DDR5-5600MHz RAM, and a speedy 1TB M.2 SSD, all for just $2,699.99. This represents a significant saving of about $500 compared to the similarly specced Razer Blade 16.

When does this laptop ship out?

HP anticipates the HP Omen Max 16 will ship out in early to mid-March, which means it's just a few weeks away. Keep in mind, though, that the RTX 50-series mobile GPUs are not yet released, so we're still waiting on benchmarks.

Alternative: Preorder the New Razer Blade Laptops

If you're considering other options, Razer's 2025 lineup of gaming laptops is also available for preorder. You can order the Razer Blade 16 and Razer Blade 18 directly from Razer.com. These models will come equipped with the latest Intel and Ryzen processors, depending on your choice of display size, and the highly anticipated RTX 5000-series mobile GPUs in three variants: RTX 5070 Ti, RTX 5080, and RTX 5090. Preordering also comes with some bonus accessories, depending on the model you choose.

Razer Blade laptops are renowned for their superior build quality. Crafted from a single piece of aluminum, these laptops are designed to be both thin and light, a remarkable feat for gaming laptops. Razer achieves this sleek design with its proprietary cooling system, which uses a vacuum-sealed, liquid-filled copper vapor chamber to efficiently dissipate heat. This level of engineering, akin to that found in Apple MacBook Pros, justifies the premium price of Razer Blade laptops compared to other mainstream brands.
