Prickle Delivers Sokoban-Inspired Hedgehog Puzzles to Android

Sunbird Studio has released Prickle for Android and iOS, a grid-based puzzle game reminiscent of Tetris and deeply inspired by Sokoban. Guide a hedgehog family to their destination through challenging mazes.

Guide a Lovable Hedgehog Family in Prickle

Step into the delightful world of DadHog, a devoted hedgehog father tasked with rounding up his scattered hoglet children and leading them home. Navigate mazes where every move demands strategic planning.

The game introduces a Prickle, a Tetris-like formation created as hoglets cling to DadHog and each other, remaining attached once joined.

As levels progress, the Prickle grows larger and more cumbersome, making navigation through narrow hedge pathways and obstacles increasingly difficult. Success hinges on smart rotation and careful pathfinding.

Prickle offers 48 levels across four seasons. Summer provides simple navigation, while Autumn adds acorns that attach to the Prickle, increasing its bulk.

In Winter, puddles emerge—DadHog can’t pass through them, but his hoglets may need to. Spring introduces blossoms that clear away remaining acorns.

A Minimalist 2D Puzzle Experience

Prickle’s standout feature is its hand-drawn aesthetic, crafted using Godot and Krita. Every character, maze, and menu text exudes a charming pen-and-paper style.

The game embraces a monochrome look, with options to add subtle color accents or switch between black-on-white and white-on-black visuals. Small touches, like DadHog napping when the game is idle, enhance its whimsical appeal.

You can download the game from the Google Play Store for $4.99.
