The final day of the Six Invitational is always a thrilling event for Rainbow Six Siege fans, as Ubisoft traditionally unveils significant updates, including the introduction of new operators. This year, Ubisoft excited the community by revealing Rauora, the latest attack operator hailing from New Zealand.
Rauora's standout feature is the DOM launcher, which deploys a bulletproof shield (susceptible only to explosives) exclusively in doorways. This shield comes equipped with a trigger that can be activated by any player. The time it takes for the shield to open varies depending on the shooter: attackers can open it in one second, whereas defenders must wait three seconds. This timing difference can be a game-changer, especially in high-stakes situations where a defuser has been planted.

In addition to her unique gadget, Rauora introduces the Reaper MK2 to the Rainbow Six Siege arsenal. This fully automatic pistol comes equipped with a red dot sight and an enlarged magazine. For her primary weapons, Rauora has the option between the M249 LMG and the 417 marksman rifle, providing her with versatile combat options.
Fans eager to try out Rauora can access her on the test servers starting next week. However, players will have to wait a bit longer for her to become available in the live version of the game.
