Rumor: One of 2024\'s Best Games Could Be Coming to the Switch 2

Metaphor: ReFantazio's Potential Nintendo Switch 2 Debut

Rumors are swirling that Metaphor: ReFantazio, the critically acclaimed 2024 JRPG, could launch alongside the highly anticipated Nintendo Switch 2. While Nintendo remains officially silent on the Switch 2, numerous leaks point to a powerful successor to the original console, potentially launching in May or June.

Multiple sources, including prominent leaker PH Brazil, suggest Metaphor: ReFantazio will arrive within the Switch 2's launch window – generally considered the period from release through the end of the year. This isn't entirely unexpected, given the game's critical success (including nominations for Game of the Year at The Game Awards 2024, and wins for Best Narrative and Best Art Direction) and the strong relationship between Nintendo and Sega, Metaphor's publisher.

This isn't the first time this pairing has been rumored. Previous leaks also suggested a simultaneous Switch 2 release for both Metaphor: ReFantazio and Persona 3 Reload. This influx of third-party support bodes well for the Switch 2's launch lineup.

Metaphor: ReFantazio isn't alone in the rumored Switch 2 launch window. Ubisoft reportedly has multiple titles in development, alongside potential releases from Konami and Microsoft. Further fueling speculation, a new Mario Kart and a 3D Super Mario game are also rumored for launch or the launch window. However, until official confirmation, these remain exciting possibilities.
