The gaming community eagerly awaits Nintendo Switch 2 announcements. With Nintendo remaining relatively quiet about its popular franchises, speculation about its future plans is high. Anticipated titles include new 3D Mario and Zelda installments, plus a new Pokémon game. The Switch 2's processing power remains uncertain, leading to initial assumptions that ambitious third-party titles like Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater might be too demanding.

Among various potential Switch 2 ports discussed on his podcast, Nate the Hate mentioned rumors of Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater's arrival. He suggests a simultaneous release and that a substantial number of third-party developers are planning, or at least considering, similar ports. Beyond platform expansion, Nate posits that these ports aim to highlight the Switch 2's DLSS capabilities.

Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater's Potential Switch 2 Debut

Metal Gear Solid Delta is a highly anticipated title, and a Switch 2 release could significantly enhance the system's initial reception. Metal Gear Solid Delta is a current-generation game, with no plans announced for PS4 or Xbox One. The showcased footage suggests a visual quality comparable to recent blockbusters like Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny. If the Switch 2 can deliver this title alongside other popular third-party releases, it could become a more formidable competitor to the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series consoles than initially projected, despite Nintendo's history of lagging behind in hardware generations.

A Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater presence on the Switch 2 could echo the "miracle port" success of its predecessor. Titles like Hellblade: Senua's Sacrifice and Nier: Automata on the original Switch captivated gamers, considered among the best Switch ports. Such rumors suggest the Switch 2 has several surprises planned for a compelling launch.
