Ryan Coogler Uncertain on Black Panther 3 and Ironheart Future

Ryan Coogler, director of Black Panther: Wakanda Forever and executive producer of its spin-off Ironheart, admitted he has little insight into the future of the latter's characters.

Ironheart concluded its two-week run on Disney+ recently, leaving fans with unresolved cliffhangers about its characters' next moves. When Variety asked if Ironheart's Riri Williams might appear in the upcoming Black Panther 3, which Coogler is currently writing, he expressed uncertainty.

"I’m completely in the dark. I just pulled an all-nighter working on X-Files," Coogler said, referring to his involvement in an upcoming X-Files TV reboot.

"I’m excited for whatever Chinaka [Hodge, Ironheart head writer] and Kevin [Feige] have planned next," Coogler added. "The audience will love that ending, and I’m eager to see those characters return."
