Square Enix has released the much-anticipated SaGa Frontier 2: Remastered on mobile and other platforms. Initially launched on the PlayStation in 1999 in Japan and in 2000 in North America and Europe, this remastered version breathes new life into the classic with enhanced visuals and fresh content.
Set in the enchanting world of Sandail, where the essence of magic is driven by a mystical force called Anima, SaGa Frontier 2: Remastered follows the journeys of two protagonists. Gustave, a royal devoid of magical prowess, and William Knights, a young adventurer from a lineage of diggers who seek ancient relics known as Quells.
Gustave's narrative begins with his exile from the Kingdom of Finney due to his inability to harness Anima, a pivotal skill in his realm. On the other hand, William, known as Wil, embarks on a quest to uncover the truth behind his parents' demise and a mysterious relic, the Egg, which has the power to manipulate minds.
The remastered edition boasts upgraded graphics with higher resolution, enhancing the watercolor backgrounds to stunning clarity. The user interface has been thoughtfully redesigned to improve navigation while preserving the game's classic aesthetic.

The remaster introduces new storylines that seamlessly integrate with the original plot. The combat system, a blend of turn-based strategy, features three distinct battle types: Party Battles, Duels, and Warfare. Party Battles adhere to the traditional RPG format, whereas Duels involve intense one-on-one confrontations where strategic moves are crucial.
Warfare, on the other hand, presents large-scale strategic engagements, ensuring that combat remains dynamic and engaging, avoiding repetitive encounters. Each type of battle demands a unique approach, keeping the gameplay fresh and challenging.
A notable return is the glimmer system, allowing players to learn new techniques during combat, along with a combo mechanic that rewards players for chaining attacks with their team. Dive into this enhanced experience by downloading SaGa Frontier 2: Remastered from the Google Play Store.
