Fresh off the successful 2021 re-release of Ubisoft's Scott Pilgrim vs. The World: The Game, the acclaimed team behind TMNT: Shredder's Revenge is taking on a brand-new project. Titled Scott Pilgrim EX, this upcoming game is scheduled to launch for PC, Xbox, PlayStation, and Nintendo Switch in early 2026.
Developed in direct collaboration with original series creator Bryan Lee O'Malley, Scott Pilgrim EX is an all-new adventure. This four-player cooperative brawler retains the beloved retro aesthetic while introducing an original narrative. Players can choose from a roster including Scott, Ramona, and five other iconic characters to battle through a reimagined Toronto, facing off against demons, robots, and a host of new foes.
In a fitting tribute, Scott Pilgrim EX will feature a completely new soundtrack from Anamanaguchi, pixel art contributed by renowned artist Paul Robertson, and creative consultation from Scott Pilgrim Takes Off director BenDavid Grabinski.
This project represents only the second major Scott Pilgrim video game, following Ubisoft's original 2010 release—not counting the 2021 remake for modern platforms. The developer, Tribute Games, is a Montreal studio founded by former Ubisoft developers, with several team members having worked on the 2010 title.
