Sega Delays Sonic Rumble for Upcoming Update

Despite an exciting pre-launch crossover event featuring iconic Sega classics like Super Monkey Ball and Altered Beast, fans will have to wait a bit longer for the global debut of Sonic Rumble. The eagerly anticipated multiplayer battle royale game, which had amassed over 1.4 million pre-registrations, has been delayed as Sega gears up to roll out the substantial version 1.2 update.

The upcoming update 1.2 is set to transform the toybox universe created by Dr. Eggman with exciting new features such as Rumble Rankings, Crews, and character Skills. These enhancements are designed to enrich the gameplay experience, offering players more than just the thrill of a chaotic victory.

Rumble Rankings will introduce seasonal leaderboards where players can compete for rewards, while Crews will enable you and your friends to tackle score missions collaboratively. The new Skills system will equip characters with unique abilities, adding a strategic depth to the game.

Rather than launching with these features halfway implemented, Sega has chosen to delay the release to ensure everything is polished and ready.
