The Sims Mobile to Close After Final Celebration

After seven years of building homes, creating Sims, and living virtual lives on mobile, The Sims Mobile is coming to a close. EA has confirmed the servers will go offline on January 20, 2026, ending the game's journey since its 2018 launch.

The news arrived with the title's final update, which is now available. This last patch features a series of farewell events, unlimited energy for players, and a final celebration before the permanent shutdown.

What's included in the final update?

A final series of events will run right up to January. The Eerie Autumn Festival Pass is live now through December 19th. This will be followed by a rotation of themed content, including Cozier Home, Hallways Ready, and Season’s Greetings.

Several Wumple’s Wishlist quests are also returning, featuring smaller, weekly, time-limited objectives. The last major event, New Year’s Dock and Roll, runs from December 29th to January 10th. The final Wumple’s Wishlist quest will conclude on January 17th.

The developers have also planned a special send-off. On January 6th, 2026, every single Build Mode and Create A Sim item in The Sims Mobile will be unlocked for all players, removing all level restrictions.

Do you have The Sims Mobile installed?

The game has already been removed from the Google Play Store. If you already have it installed, however, you can continue playing and re-download it from your library until the shutdown date.

Real-money purchases have been disabled, though any existing SimCash, Simoleons, or Tickets can still be used until the end. The final update's unlimited energy feature lets you complete your stories or finish final builds. For more details, you can refer to the official FAQ on the game's website.
