These days, it seems like nearly every game includes some form of competitive element — and there’s a good reason for that. Esports, after all, have arguably kept certain titles relevant long after release. Netmarble’s Solo Leveling: Arise Championship 2025, announced earlier this year, appears determined to bring that same level of prestige to this hit manhwa-inspired title.
It’s certainly intriguing to see a competitive tournament for a game like Solo Leveling: Arise. Starting February 21st, players who have earned 1,000 or more points in Battlefield of Time Season 7 can apply for the preliminaries. Running from February 21st to March 9th, the event will be divided into Asian and International leagues, featuring four maps from the Battlefield of Time mode.
Participants must compete across these four maps, combining their best clearance times from each to determine their overall ranking. The top eight players from each league will advance to the Solo Leveling: Arise Championship grand finals in Korea on April 12th, competing for the largest share of a 20 million KRW prize pool.
Going SoloIf you sensed a touch of skepticism in my tone, you’re not mistaken. It’s hard not to find a competitive championship centered on a mainly single-player game a little unusual. That said, given the immense popularity of the Solo Leveling franchise and the thriving esports culture in South Korea, this championship is bound to attract a sizable audience.
