Spider-Man Animated Series on Disney+ Already Renewed for Seasons 2 and 3

Marvel's animated Spider-Man series, Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man, receives early renewals for seasons two and three. Production is already well underway.

Brad Winderbaum, Marvel Studios' head of streaming, television, and animation, confirmed in an interview with The Movie Podcast that scripts for Season 2 are complete, with storyboards at the halfway mark. Season 3 has also been greenlit.

Winderbaum expressed his enthusiasm for the show and its characters, highlighting the payoff of the narrative structure. He stated, "I've fallen so head over heels in love with these characters and I've now read all of the scripts for Season 2; we're halfway through the animatics...What [lead writer and executive producer Jeff Trammell] is building brick by brick in this show starts to pay off." He anticipates further development of the characters in subsequent seasons.
