Spotify Service Disruption Affects Users Globally

Attention: Spotify, the popular music streaming platform, is experiencing an outage this morning.

Per Downdetector, a sister site of IGN, reports of Spotify issues started around 6 a.m. PT today and continue to surge. Our team struggled to access the service for much of the morning, and even when the app opened, music playback failed.

Spotify has confirmed the problem and is "working to resolve it as soon as possible." The company also debunked rumors of a security breach causing the outage.
