DC Studios has unveiled an exciting new trailer for the upcoming Superman movie, directed by James Gunn, set to hit theaters on July 11, 2025. This three-minute glimpse into the film showcases a robust ensemble of superheroes and supervillains, giving fans a more detailed look at the characters.
The trailer highlights Nathan Fillion's portrayal of Guy Gardner / Green Lantern, who effortlessly takes down enemies with a mere flick of his hand. Isabela Merced impresses as Hawkgirl, while María Gabriela de Faría's The Engineer makes a striking appearance. It's revealed that The Engineer is responsible for destroying the robots, including Kelex, who care for Superman in the Fortress of Solitude—a scene that was teased in a previous trailer showing Superman cradling a damaged Kelex.
Adding to the excitement, Krypto the Superdog is featured in action, executing a flying punch at The Engineer during their confrontation. This showcases Krypto's willingness to engage directly in the battle against villains.
The trailer also offers more footage of Lex Luthor, played by Nicholas Hoult, and introduces Ultraman in action. Edi Gathegi's Mister Terrific and Anthony Carrigan's Rex Mason / Metamorpho are given more screen time, enhancing their roles in the film. Additionally, the newly introduced character, The Hammer of Boravia, speculated to be Ultraman in disguise, makes a significant appearance following a teaser from the previous day.

The relationship between Clark Kent and Lois Lane takes center stage, with Lois conducting an interview with Clark in his Superman persona. Tensions rise as the interview turns into a heated debate over the ethics of Superman's involvement in a foreign war, with Clark defending his actions by saying, "I wasn’t representing anyone except for me... and doing good!" This intervention leads to The Hammer of Boravia attacking Downtown Metropolis.
In a poignant scene, a member of the public aids Superman out of a hole in the ground during the battle with The Hammer of Boravia. This act of kindness contrasts with other scenes where the public is shown expressing anger and even throwing objects at Superman, highlighting the complex relationship between the hero and the people he aims to protect.
