Snapbreak Games is bringing its surreal underwater puzzle adventure to mobile devices. The game, titled Silt, is currently in early access on Android, with a full launch planned for January 26, 2026, on both Android and iOS.
You play as a solitary diver, plunged into a monochromatic nightmare teeming with strange creatures, ancient machinery, and profound silence. There's no user interface, no inventory, and no cheerful objective log to point the way.
You are entirely on your own. Progress hinges on a unique mechanic: possessing sea life. By temporarily taking control of various creatures, you can solve environmental puzzles, reach new areas, and trigger chain reactions, leading to deeply unsettling encounters.
Silt emphasizes shadowy atmosphere and psychological tension, focusing more on exploration and observation than active combat or crafting. To get a feel for its unique style, watch the Silt early access trailer below.
The art direction is central to the game's haunting mood. Every scene in Silt is meticulously hand-drawn by artist Mr Mead, featuring a sketchbook-like texture that amplifies the surreal and eerie visuals.
Your journey takes you through zones of decay, forgotten history, and unsettling phenomena. The ocean's inhabitants are bizarre, often colossal, and deeply disturbing. You cannot engage them in combat, but you can usurp their forms.
The depths hide crumbling ruins and long-buried secrets. A subtle narrative is woven into the environment, revealed through visual cues and your interactions with the world.
From Snapbreak Games, known for visually striking titles like Lost in Play and Tiny Robots: Portal Escape, Silt represents a darker, more experimental venture. The early access version is now live in select regions. You can find it on the Google Play Store.
