Fueling the fire of Tony Hawk's Pro Skater remake rumors, Singapore's rating board has listed "Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 3+4" for a 2025 release. This rumored remake, encompassing the next two core entries in the franchise, is slated for a wide range of platforms: Nintendo Switch, PC, PlayStation 4 & 5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X|S.
While no official announcement has been made, a countdown timer within Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 hints at upcoming Tony Hawk's Pro Skater news, culminating on March 4, 2025. Adding to the speculation, Tony Hawk himself confirmed discussions with Activision, stating they're working on a project that will "truly appreciate" fans.
The success of the 2020 Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 1+2 remake made a sequel seemingly inevitable. However, the 2021 integration of Vicarious Visions (the developers of the 1+2 remake) into Blizzard presented a hurdle. Activision subsequently sought alternative developers, but according to Hawk, they were unsatisfied with the proposals received.
Hawk revealed in a 2022 Twitch stream that the plan to develop a 3+4 remake was in place until the release of 1+2. The acquisition of Vicarious Visions forced Activision to search for a new studio, a process that proved challenging due to their high standards.
The mystery remains: who's developing the potential Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 3+4 remake? The Singaporean rating only credits Activision as both publisher and developer. March 4th appears to be the date for further revelations.
