Top Leafeon Ex Decks in Pokemon TCG Pocket

Leafeon Ex's power stems less from its Solar Beam attack (dealing 70 damage for 3 energy) and more from its Forest Breath ability. When Leafeon Ex is Active, Forest Breath allows you to attach a Grass energy to one of your Grass-type Pokemon.

This naturally creates excellent synergy with the Mythical Island powerhouse, Celebi Ex, though options are somewhat limited.

Celebi Ex (Grass Energy)

2x Eevee (Space-Time Smackdown) 2x Leafeon Ex 2x Celebi 2x Professor’s Research 2x Dawn 2x Erika 1x Sabrina 2x Giant’s Cape 2x Poke Ball 2x Potion 1x Pokemon Communication

This deck aims to establish Leafeon Ex in the Active Spot, sustaining it with Giant’s Cape, Erika, and Potions. Meanwhile, use Forest Breath to power up both Leafeon Ex and Celebi Ex at the same time. With 140 HP, Leafeon Ex can withstand most aggressive Pokemon long enough to retreat, making way for a Celebi Ex loaded with 3 to 4 energy.

The key is deciding when to empower Leafeon Ex or to bypass it, directing both energies generated each turn to Celebi Ex instead. It's a straightforward strategy that has succeeded with Exeggutor Ex in Leafeon's place, but this version has greater scaling potential. Use Dawn freely to accelerate Celebi Ex's power.

Yanmega Ex (Grass Energy)

2x Eevee (Space-Time Smackdown) 2x Leafeon Ex 2x Yanma 2x Yanmega Ex 2x Professor’s Research 2x Dawn 2x Erika Giant’s Cape 2x Potion 2x Pokemon Communication

While the Celebi Ex build is Leafeon Ex's most likely home, Yanmega Ex also makes a strong partner. Yanmega Ex's Air Slash deals 120 damage for 3 Colorless energy but requires discarding an energy afterward. Leafeon Ex helps keep energy stacked on Yanmega Ex, enabling consecutive attacks.

Additionally, Erika helps keep both 140-HP Pokemon healthy, though including 2x Giant's Cape is crucial to push them past the key 150 HP threshold. Overall, this is a rush-down deck capable of outpacing the Exeggutor Ex decks that dominate the Grass-type meta.

While pairings like Venusaur Ex have potential, they are unlikely to surpass the two decks listed above. Therefore, these are the best Pokémon TCG Pocket decks to try with your new Leafeon Ex.
