"Torchlight: Infinite Season 8: Sandlord Launches This Month"

Torchlight: Infinite's upcoming Season 8: Sandlord, set to launch on April 17th, promises a significant overhaul and exciting new features for fans of the ARPG. This season introduces the Cloud Oasis, a novel area where players can engage in economic gameplay mechanics, trading resources, managing workers, and building aerial strongholds. This new mechanic, dubbed Sandlord, adds a fresh layer of strategy and empire-building to the game.

Returning with a new twist is Thea, now equipped with the Blasphemer trait. This trait swaps her divine powers for the curse of Desecration, which starts off weak but scales powerfully, enhancing Erosion damage as her blessing power depletes. Players can explore various build options, from area-of-effect explosions to health-scaling effects, making it a perfect fit for those who enjoy damage-over-time and synergy-rich strategies.

Endgame content has also received a major update. Deep Space has been completely revamped, featuring five new stages, expanded maps, and more challenging enemies. A new system called Probes allows players to adjust the risk and reward balance, with higher challenges offering the chance to obtain better loot, including Compass chests via the Compass Probe.

Season 8 also introduces a Blending System for belt crafting, enabling players to fuse Hero Traits, Talent nodes, and unique affixes into a single item slot, enhancing build customization. A new boss, Night Slayer – The Wilting Plume, joins the fray, adding to the challenges on the Plane Watcher and the 20th floor of Supreme Showdown.

To celebrate the launch, Torchlight: Infinite is hosting the Sands of Fortune anniversary event from April 17th to May 1st. Players can complete tasks, earn Gold Rush Attempts, and compete for a share of a $250,000 prize pool.
