Urshifu, Gigantamax Machamp Debut in Pokémon GO's Final Strike: GO Battle Week

As the Might and Mastery season in Pokémon GO draws to a close, the final week, dubbed Final Strike: GO Battle Week, is set to begin on May 21st, 2025, and will run through to May 27th. This week is pivotal for players looking to evolve their Kubfu into the legendary Urshifu, available in two distinct forms: Single Strike and Rapid Strike.

To evolve Kubfu into Single Strike Urshifu, make sure it's set as your buddy and defeat 30 Dark-type Pokémon in raids or Max Battles. For the Rapid Strike style, follow the same process but target 30 Water-type Pokémon during the Final Strike: GO Battle Week. This exciting event marks the culmination of your efforts and brings your journey with Kubfu to a rewarding close.

The week also features a Special Research that ties into the ongoing Seasonal storyline, available until June 3rd, 2025. By participating, you can earn Kubfu Candy, Mysterious Components, and encounter themed Pokémon like Charcadet, complete with a Special Background.

May 25th Is a Special Day

Mark your calendars for May 25th, as it's the Gigantamax Machamp Max Battle Day. Gigantamax Machamp will make its debut in six-star Max Battles from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. local time. This event comes with additional bonuses to enhance your experience.

During the Gigantamax Machamp Max Battle Day, you'll need to travel only one-fourth the normal distance to earn Max Particles. The cap for Max Particle storage will increase to 1,600, and all Power Spots will host Gigantamax Battles. You'll also receive 8× Max Particles from these battles and gain two extra Special Trades.

Don't miss out on collecting Max Mushrooms, which temporarily double the damage of your Dynamax or Gigantamax Pokémon. You can stack multiple mushrooms to extend the duration, though the power boost remains constant.
