Strange Horticulture is this week’s free offering on the Epic Games Store
Run your own unusual botanical shop in the town of Undermere
Solve mysteries, assist customers, and discover rare, strange plants

Whoever said working at a garden center couldn’t test your sanity? In Strange Horticulture—free this week on the Epic Games Store—running your own arcane botanical shop just might. In Undermere, it’s not just the strange flora you need to be careful of.

You may recall us featuring Strange Horticulture a few years ago. In this blend of narrative and puzzle gameplay, your task is simple: manage a botanical store and help customers overcome their ailments and peculiar problems. How? Naturally, by using the unusual herbs at your fingertips.

This isn’t conventional science, so you won’t find guidance in standard medical texts. Instead, you’ll need to gradually uncover which plants to use by studying your records, conducting field investigations, and connecting subtle contextual clues.

Part Poirot, part potion

Of course, it’s never that simple. In Undermere, in classic Lovecraftian style, dark secrets seem to ooze from every doorway. When a local witch coven meets a grisly end, it falls to you to unravel the mystery.

Unsurprisingly, I’m thrilled to see Strange Horticulture land on the Epic Games Store. Having covered it since its launch and given it a glowing review, I’d say it’s well worth your time this weekend if you’re looking for something to play.

And if you still need things to do, well—first, how are you burning through everything so fast? Second, why not explore our latest roundup of the top five new mobile games to try this week?
