New Visual Novel "Together We Live" Explores Humanity

Kemco has released an intriguing new visual novel titled Together We Live, exclusively available on Android devices. This compelling narrative is set in a post-apocalyptic world and delves into themes of human sins and the arduous journey towards atonement. Notably, the game is also accessible on Steam for PC users.

A Girl Atoning for Humans’ Sins

In Together We Live, the protagonist Kyoya embarks on a bewildering journey. He awakens in a dimly lit room to discover it's the year 4000, nearly 2000 years after his last memory. The Earth has transformed into a desolate wasteland, and he encounters a mysterious girl who becomes his guide and companion.

This girl is on a profound mission, burdened with the task of atoning for humanity's sins. She is trapped in a relentless cycle of death and rebirth, experiencing this ordeal countless times. Each resurrection brings her back to the same grim reality, a cycle that evokes deep sympathy from Kyoya, who is moved to teach her about the concept of happiness.

The narrative's pacing may initially seem slow, but as the story unfolds, it gains momentum. The twists, turns, and seemingly minor details from earlier in the story become significant, enriching the overall experience.

Together We Live Makes You Think

Unlike many other visual novels, Together We Live does not involve player choices, offering instead a linear, interactive story. The game's art style is simple yet captivating, blending beauty with a poignant sense of sadness that resonates deeply with players.

The girl's character is fully voiced, adding a haunting yet fitting dimension to her role. The game is currently available in English, Japanese, and Simplified Chinese, but it does not support controllers. You can purchase Together We Live on the Google Play Store for $9.99, or play it for free if you have a Play Pass.
