World of Warcraft has introduced exciting new in-game items for players who opt for a six-month subscription: the Timbered Sky Snake mount for modern WoW and the Timbered Air Snakelet pet for Classic. These rewards, inspired by the 2025 Zodiac Sign, are available to players who purchase or are already on a bulk subscription, with delivery guaranteed by January 31, 2025.
Since 2018, World of Warcraft has been rewarding players with bonus in-game incentives for longer subscriptions. These rewards often align with the lunar Zodiac signs and are updated biannually in January and July. For instance, the 2024 Year of the Wood Dragon brought the Auspicious Arborwyrm.
The first six-month subscription offer for 2025 features the Timbered Sky Snake, a flying mount for retail WoW representing the Year of the Wood Snake, and the Timbered Air Snakelet, its smaller counterpart for Cataclysm Classic. These items can be obtained by purchasing a six-month subscription, though they are also available for individual purchase in-game at $25 for the mount and $10 for the pet. Note that the Timbered Sky Snakelet for modern WoW can be bought from the Battle.net shop for $10, but it's not part of the subscription offer.
Players on existing recurring subscriptions will also receive these rewards. Both items will be added to qualifying Battle.net accounts by January 31, 2025, and must be redeemed before the same date in 2026, when they will likely be replaced by items themed around the Year of the Fire Horse.
In addition to the six-month rewards, players opting for a 12-month subscription will also receive the Startouched Furline, Gigantic Grrloc, and Charming Courier mounts for modern WoW, along with the Lava Drake mount and Swoopy pet for Classic. These subscribers will automatically receive July’s six-month subscription offer as well, making the 12-month option highly attractive for mount collectors.
Looking ahead, World of Warcraft's 2025 roadmap is packed with significant updates. Retail WoW will see major patches starting with 11.1 in the coming months, and there's even a chance for player housing by year's end. For Classic, progression servers will advance to Mists of Pandaria, anniversary realms will progress from vanilla to The Burning Crusade, and Season of Discovery will reach its final phase. With such ambitious plans across all versions of World of Warcraft, securing a bulk subscription now is a smart move for avid players.
