Wild Rift's Cosmic Update Arrives in Patch 6.1 Mid-April

LoL: Wild Rift Patch 6.1: Ascending Stars is gearing up for a spectacular launch later this month, bringing with it a cosmic transformation that will redefine the game from menus to the battlefield. Prepare to explore the Dual Nova galaxy, featuring the Challenger’s Star and Adventure’s Star, for a truly immersive experience.

Three new champions are set to join the ranks in this latest update, each bringing unique abilities that could shift the meta. Ryze, the Rune Mage, unleashes devastating AoE damage and can strategically reposition his team with Realm Warp. Nocturne, the Eternal Nightmare, excels in sowing chaos with his ability Paranoia, casting opponents into darkness. Lastly, Zilean, the Chronokeeper, masters the manipulation of time, slowing foes and even bringing allies back from the brink with Chronoshift.

Several champions are also receiving significant reworks. Garen's Courage ability will now scale over time, enhancing his durability, while his Judgment will become even more effective at shredding enemy armor. Ambessa is transitioning from the jungle to the Baron lane, with adjustments to her damage output and life steal capabilities. Additionally, minor tweaks are in store for Diana, Fiora, Jax, Sona, and Kalista, aiming to balance their performance in the game.

Beyond the champion updates, the patch introduces a Bandle-inspired Rift for non-Ranked modes, complete with Enchanted Gifts that emerge through portals during the laning phase, adding a new layer of strategy. Mages will benefit from updated items, including the new Bandle Fantasy item, which boosts burst damage. Hextech GLP800 will now slow enemies with frost bombs, and Malignance will amplify ultimate abilities, making spellcasters a formidable force on the Rift.

Ranked mode is set for an evolution as well, with the start of a new season coinciding with the launch of the Challenger’s Star. This update brings enhancements to the Ranked store and simplifies the process of earning seasonal rewards. Midway through the patch, the Adventure’s Star will unlock, introducing AAAARAM—a thrilling twist on ARAM with new augments and stunning galactic visuals.

The Wild Pass will feature two captivating skins: Wondertown Twisted Fate and Battlecast Nasus. Twisted Fate's new look introduces an exciting new skinline, promising to add flair to your gameplay.
