Wolcen Unveils "ExtrAction RPG" Project Pantheon, Blending Diablo and Escape from Tarkov

Wolcen Studio has exciting news for gamers: they've introduced Project Pantheon, a thrilling free-to-play combat role-playing game infused with extraction shooter mechanics. Mark your calendars—European players will dive into the first closed alpha testing on January 25, with North American players joining the action on February 1.

"We've masterfully combined the high stakes and rewarding gameplay of extraction shooters with the intense battle dynamics of combat RPGs," shared Andrei Cirkulete, the game director. Project Pantheon seems to be a love child of Diablo and Escape from Tarkov. The studio is keen to gather player feedback as you step into the shoes of a Death's messenger, striving to restore order in a shattered world.

Your mission involves battling both AI and real players across various maps. The thrill of the game hinges on successful evacuations—triumph, and you'll secure your hard-earned trophies; fail, and you'll lose all your loot. But the excitement doesn't stop there. Project Pantheon allows you to craft your own base, customize your gear, and experiment with diverse playstyles.

Immerse yourself in a world inspired by global mythologies, where player trading is the backbone of the game's economy. Your initial adventure will unfold in "Destiny's Edge," a realm echoing the mystique of Scandinavian legends. Despite being in the early stages of alpha, Wolcen Studio is committed to engaging with the community to refine and enhance Project Pantheon.
