Zenless Zone Zero accelerates from its summer overhaul into something grander. Following July's Version 2.1 update, HoYoverse prepares to launch Version 2.2 - Do Not Go Gentle Into That Good Night next month. This expansion introduces the game-changing Obol Squad faction that will redefine New Eridu's power dynamics.

Version 2.2 thrusts the Defence Force into frontline action under Major General Lorenz's oversight and Colonel Isolde's tactical command. Their objectives extend beyond eliminating remaining Exaltist holdouts. As players explore Waifei Peninsula, Agent Seed's mysterious past emerges, drawing players deeper into escalating conflicts.

The brilliant engineer Seed joins as a playable S-Rank Electric Attack Agent, employing his customized battle mech for devastating assaults while synergizing effectively with other offensive units.

Accompanying him, the duo Orphie & Magus arrive as S-Rank Fire Attack Agents, combining precise laser strikes with team-enhancing abilities capable of breaching enemy defenses. Supporting frontline operations is Mercury, an S-Rank Bangboo tank unit providing crucial battlefield resilience.

The update launches with Band of Brave Bangboo, an innovative tower defense challenge featuring strategic map elements like concealment bushes and hazardous miasma that demand tactical adaptation.
