Enhance your evangelism and foundational Bible teaching with our comprehensive audio-visual lessons, meticulously crafted based on the Sunday School Lessons published by the AIC Sunday School Committee in Juba, Southern Sudan. These lessons have been thoughtfully adapted for broader application by Global Recordings Network Australia, with the gracious permission of the Africa Inland Church, Sudan. They are designed to be used in conjunction with the engaging audio-visual picture books provided by Global Recordings Network, making them an invaluable resource for Sunday School educators.
This initiative stemmed from a heartfelt response to young people who sought guidance in teaching Sunday School. Recognizing the power of visual aids, the lessons integrate crucial imagery to enhance understanding and engagement among learners.
Our app focuses exclusively on the lesson component of Sunday School, with each session designed to last approximately twenty minutes. The remainder of the Sunday School time, including singing, prayer, Bible reading, quizzes, and other interactive activities, is left in the capable hands of the teachers to plan. We encourage each lesson to conclude with a brief prayer and song, reinforcing the week's teachings. These lessons are tailored for children aged 7 to 12, catering to a broad yet specific demographic.
Initially tested in real-world settings, the lessons were written out week by week in exercise books to keep them concise and manageable. While some lessons have been expanded, they continue to provide a succinct yet thorough framework that teachers can elaborate on during their preparation.
Each lesson begins with a clear aim to guide the teacher's focus. Recognizing the limitations of teaching the entirety of God's truth in a single session, the emphasis is placed on one or two key truths per lesson. This approach allows children to gradually build a deeper understanding of God. The lesson is not intended to be read verbatim to the class but rather serves as a guiding tool—a "walking stick" for the teacher, not a crutch.
