Bunker, Mafia, Spy, and Alias: A Collection of Games for Reasoning and Development of Thinking
Bunker
Bunker is a game that originated in Russia, set in a post-catastrophe world where the only refuge is a bunker that can accommodate only half of the survivors. This board game enhances discussion skills and helps players craft compelling arguments.
In Bunker, players represent the few survivors left on Earth after a global disaster. The primary objective is to secure a spot in the bunker. The team must ensure that only those with a healthy gene pool are admitted into the shelter. Each survivor must also demonstrate their value through their skills and contributions, as they are tasked with rebuilding humanity.
The key to gaining entry into the bunker is not physical strength but the ability to persuade others through discussion, showcasing personal strengths, and employing strategic thinking and foresight.
Mafia
In the game Mafia, a criminal element infiltrates a peaceful city, causing unrest among its residents. The citizens' goal is to identify and expel all members of the mafia before they can take over the city. Failure to do so results in the mafia's victory and the doom of the honest residents.
Alias
Alias is a fast-paced word game that tests intelligence, speed, and reaction time. The objective is straightforward: score more points than other teams by explaining the words on cards as quickly and clearly as possible. Success in this game depends on excellent word explanation skills or being part of a team adept at guessing words.
Spy
Spy begins with each player receiving a card with a location, except for the spy, who receives a blank card. Players must ask each other questions about their shared location. The player who answers can then ask the next question. The game progresses until the spy either reveals the location or is identified by another player.
During the game, any player can accuse another of being the spy, triggering a vote among all players. If unanimously voted as the spy and proven correct, the civilians win; if incorrect, the spy wins. If the vote is not unanimous, the game resumes from where it paused. The spy can also pause the game by guessing the location; a correct guess results in the spy's victory, while an incorrect guess leads to the civilians' win.
