Tom Clancy's The Division 2 has officially launched its third season of year six, aptly titled "Burden of Truth." This exciting new season beckons agents to immerse themselves deeper into the gripping narrative, as they embark on a quest to find Kelso across Washington, D.C., guided by her enigmatic clues. Along their journey, players will uncover more about Lau's recruitment process and delve into the mysteries surrounding the "Cassandra" mission.
One of the standout features of this season is the introduction of the Rogue Momentum system, which revolutionizes combat dynamics by incentivizing aggressive playstyles. By taking down enemies and successfully completing combat objectives, players accumulate momentum. While standard kills contribute modestly to the momentum meter, critical hits, skillful combinations, multi-kills, and defeating elite foes significantly accelerate its growth. As momentum builds, players gain access to enhanced abilities, such as increased movement speed, reduced reload times, amplified damage output, and faster firing rates. At the peak of momentum, the Overcharge feature activates, dramatically shortening ability cooldowns and offering a strategic advantage in battle.
In addition to the revamped combat mechanics, the season introduces an array of new weaponry and gear. Players who own the Warlords of New York DLC and Year 1 Pass will benefit from an expanded inventory, featuring 50 additional slots.
Among the notable additions are the exotic SMG Oxpecker and the tactical Exodus gloves. Two new brands, Refactor and Shiny Monkey, bring innovative gear options to the table, while named weapons like the Rusty Classic RPK-74 and Goalie FAL provide unique talents that enable players to fine-tune their builds. These new items are available across all platforms, and Ubisoft is keenly awaiting player feedback to refine and enhance future updates.
